anna just

I Create hand built ceramic and hand painted silk pieces. My work is a balance of bright quirky and organic earthy.
My work is inspired by the Australian bush and coastlines. I try to capture the colours and textures that nature does so well. The female form with all its curves and shape also influences my work.

This jewellery has come from making sculpture as I studied at RMIT. In sculpture I knit wire, long lengths of it, and so it was a natural progression to make smaller body pieces. Then I wanted them to become more precious so now I knit with sterling silver. Soft, shiny and strong. Amulets, earrings and bracelets - the pieces are like small sculptures.

Recently I've begun to curl things; earrings, necklaces, so the pieces are changing as I work. I'm also making pins/brooches for men and plaited fine bracelets so they can wear hand made pieces too. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do making them.

belinda di nino jewellery

Belinda Di Nino established her Jewellery label in 2008. This has evolved from a background of studies in Sculpture and Jewellery Design & Technology. Reflected in the creation of her production range or individual pieces, the influence of sculpture and fashion are elements embodied within the design process and manufacture. Shape, materials and the relationship of the Jewellery on the wearer form the basis of a creation and through the construction of components and repetition of minimal line, take on bold experimental forms.

bonny lad

My work related to my early studies ‘Philosophy and Literature’ and different religions those I tried to understand and still got questions about them. My motive to create begins with all sort of relationship based on our every day’s life. As a creator or maker, I really enjoy that I make my jewellery with my own feel and mean, then they become independent object themselves and goes where they belong to or being appreciated.

broken plate mosaics

Broken Plate Mosaic belt buckles are handmade, using antique bone china, by Melbourne mosaic artist, Lisa Levick.

Lisa loves the tactile aspect of mosaicing and is drawn to the range of beautiful colours and textures in the bone china. She scours antique shops and markets for old bone china plates and saucers which, when broken up, will translate into fabulous buckles. Lisa is often inspired by the colours of the seasons and loves re working the china into something completely different. She has been featured in the Age ‘I made it myself’ section and is in the current edition of ‘Handmade in Melbourne’

cardog design

I like to think that my work is as entertaining as it is wearable. my inspirations come from my huge and ever growing collection of " bits ", in combination with my overactive imagination and my addiction to tools and techniques.

the name for my work "cardog design " comes from my observation of the true joy and happiness that a dog shows when it accompanies its owner in car. From the kelpie barking into the wind in a dusty ute, to that smug pug in the sports car, they all are truly in that "happy place " if only our own joy was so simply served. while I am making my work, I can anticipate the smile that people get when they see it. I know that I have a lot of fun making it.
